The first chapter of the Genesis in the Old Testament stated that God created the world in six days. Everything on the earth was created by God in six days. Many people have difficulty to accept this theory, especially the atheists, they used this statement as a reason to reject the existence of God. They argued that it is impossible to do so anyhow and is not scientific to create everything, including human beings, in the world in six days.
Why do people have this thought? My personal understanding is that people made a mistake in their knowledge. They see the day of God as the same unit as we human beings used in our daily life. By my scientific understanding, the day in the first chapter of Genesis is the God's day, which is the unit used for a cycle of the universe, whereas the day of the earth is the unit used for a cycle of the earth around the Sun. Thus, they are very different measurement unit. Therefore, the day of God is the universe day and may equal millions of years on the earth. Because we human beings and God are belong to different space levels in the universe, we cannot understand this difference.
According to the creation theory, God first created the earth and heaven, then Sun, Moon, and stars. By my scientific understanding, He actually means he made the Sun, Moon, and the stars being visible from the surface of the earth. Then He created an atmosphere that was suitable for life. After he grew the plants and herbs first. When the vegetation on the earth was established, he raised all kinds of animals on the lands, all kinds of fishes in the waters, and all kinds of birds and insects on the sky. After all these jobs were completed, He finally created the men and women, today's human beings, on the earth. Think about this question: if the creation theory was not the writing record of Moses according to God's words, if the creation theory was not a scientific theory, why did it not state that God first created human beings on the earth, then let human beings grow the plants and raise other creatures on the earth, as our current daily life actually does?
Human beings are the last creature created by God on the earth. They belong to the highest level on the evolution chains on the earth. It is very obvious that God spent His main effort and time on creating an environment which has everything ready for human beings to live for before He actually created the Man on the earth.
From the above fact and analysis, it is easy to see that, in order to let human beings be able to survive on the earth, God had spent hundred million years to create the environmental conditions which were suitable for human beings to live with.
According to the Evolution theory by Darwin, the evolution of life was a very long process. Life began at the simplest form such as a single celled bacterium, then to next level organisms, and so on, finally to human beings, through mutations, variations, and natural selections, in the evolution process of hundred million years. Human beings was the last product of the evolution process on the earth and had only a few million years history.
Let us make a comparison of the above two theories. Are they talking about the same thing? From my personal view, it is obvious that they are basically described the same process. The only the difference is that creation theory in the Genesis was just a very brief outline of the long process whereas the evolution theory by Darwin was a very detailed description of this complicated process. But they are the exact same in the main points.
Therefore, my conclusion is: the creation theory and the evolution theory are basically the same in the principle. Thus, they should support each other rather than against each other.
